Buds are starting burst. It’s the first week of spring, and, despite the gray and the wet here in the northwest, it feels full of promise.

I got out my spring bag. Never mind that I have to pair it with a wool coat.

There was rhubarb at the market! I made a crisp and ate it for breakfast.

And the artichokes were a bargain. We brought home extras, so we could eat them every day.
